I liked both, but the watermelon was my FAVE. It hit the spot and wasn’t too sweet.

  1. 16 miles in 90 degree heat!!! You rockstar!!! I’m melting here in Florida, we’ve got wicked heat indexes right now. I’m a hammer nutrition guy bit those salted watermelon GU’s look tempting πŸ™‚

  2. Love the socks – I just got some new ones I am loving as well. Since I run with lightweight shoes the socks need to let water flow as well! And love compression socks – definitely need some more colors πŸ™‚

I always wear a full shirt and that definitely helps with chafing for the hydration pack – and as you say at this time of year you definitely need it for a longer run!

    Great pics!

    • Thanks! I can’t wait to get my new colors in! I had Zero problems when I wore it in the wintertime-since I was wearing it with about sixteen layers.. The chafing that came along with the camelbak was pretty surprising and painful! I definitely won’t be making that mistake again!

  3. Ooh where’d you get your compression socks? Also that salted caramel Gu sounds SO GOOD!
And I love being all salty because of my runs! haha. Especially at the END πŸ™‚

  4. How do you like wearing a hydration pack while running? I’ve never worn one but thinking about training with one for my next half marathon … (I’m terrible at water stations .. I’m just a mess) πŸ™‚

    • I like it a LOT-the pros outweigh the cons. The only con I have is that i am prone to chafing with it-it has chafed both my underarms and my back-today I had to wear a “full back” shirt as opposed to a racer back and I put Vaseline on my arms. Lol but besides that-it was awesome for a very hot run!!! I would definitely recommend one!

      • wow, awesome tips, thanks! I usually wear racer-backs so that is great to know.

      • No problem!:) I usually wear the racerback too. It could be just me – I don’t really know anyone else who uses one. The good thing is I was able to put two 16 oz water bottles in it- it saved me in the heat!
