Monday was a “rest day” from running. I did a core and strength workout. I was pretty sore when I finished!
Since i had a meeting after work, I got up early on Tuesday and ran 5 miles on my treadmill. I realized when I got home that I had more time than I had planned to have before meeting with my friends for pre-meeting beverages-so I ran another 4 miles. I ended up running 9 miles in about one hour!:) Now if I could only hold that pace for a whole marathon, I would be unstoppable.…someday😉
Today is a snow day. I heard on the news that there is 1400 miles of snow warnings in effect all over the country.. So chances are that you’re probably snowed in, too. CRAZY!
I’m going to hit the treadmill after I finish typing this post and do a 13 mile run. Well. I say that now but who knows if my brain will be able to wrap itself around 13 miles on a treadmill. We shall see. I have a feeling I will be able to do it though because I am all hopped up on energy from last nights extra four miles-do you have have that happen to you? It’s kind of like having a runners high, still, from your last run, that gives you the mental power to have another great run the following day. We shall call this “lingering Runner’s High” I love when that happens to me! On the flip side-sometimes a bad run can carry itself mentally into the next day, too. But if we don’t have the bad runs, we can’t recognize the good ones.
I will be listening to this song on repeat….
On Feb 11th-there will literally be NO happier person on the planet than ME: Eric Church’s new CD Debuts…I cannot even WAIT. I loveity-lovity Love his music. He is My Favorite (SO sorry KC…you are still my number #2) I may or may not have lost my voice this summer screaming like a little girl at his concert. #dontjudgeme
